How Transparent Proxy Works
The extension intercepts your messages to AI assistants, anonymizes personal data in real-time, and restores original values in the response — all transparently.
You Type
Write your message normally in ChatGPT or Claude. No changes to your workflow.
Auto-Anonymize
Before sending, PII is replaced with tokens (e.g. Jan Kowalski → [PERSON_1]).
Auto-Restore
AI response arrives with tokens, which are instantly replaced back with original values.
Installation
Chrome
- Download the Chrome extension .zip file above
- Extract the .zip to a folder on your computer
- Open Chrome and navigate to chrome://extensions
- Enable Developer mode (toggle in top-right corner)
- Click Load unpacked and select the extracted folder
- The ANOXY icon will appear in your toolbar
Firefox
- Download the Firefox extension .zip file above
- Open Firefox and navigate to about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox
- Click Load Temporary Add-on
- Select the downloaded .zip file (no need to extract)
- The ANOXY icon will appear in your toolbar
Requirements
- •An ANOXY account (sign up for free at the main page)
- •Chrome 88+ or Firefox 109+
- •Internet connection (extension communicates with ANOXY API)
Configuration
After installation, click the ANOXY icon in your toolbar and configure the API URL in the settings section of the popup.
